Documentation

The Deployment Webservice has been created to extend the Deployment possibilities of the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT). Database queries or manipulation during the pre-execution phase, dynamic lists, pre-staging computers in MDT and/or SCCM on-the-fly during the Deployment, moving Computers in Active Directory, etc. All this and much more can be achieved using this webservice. The webservice is continously being extended with new capabilities to cover more and more of the common deployment related taks. Currently it contains more then 150 functions to extend your deployments. The most current version (Version 7.1) can be downloaded from the Downloads section of this Codeplex site. If you find any issues or would like to have a specific feature implemented in future releases, simply start a discussion or send any of the Project members a notice.

To ease your start with this webservice find some first information on these pages:

Find additional information about real-life implementations on the Blogs of Maik Koster, Chris Stauffer, Johan Arwidmark, ...

Some examples:

If you have an additional example, which shall be posted her, just send me a note.

This Deployment Webservice is provided "AS-IS" without any explicit or implicit warranty of any kind. The author is not liable for any damages. Be sure to test all functions in a test environment before putting in production.

Been using this script for a while continues to work with MDT 2013 update 2.
I now have a case where I would like the user to be able to select their deployment server. (Production or backup)with the MDT wizard. I have every thing setup with the locationserver.xml and a drop down shows up in the wizard to select what deployment share to use.
Issue now is the webservice URL in customsettings.ini needs to change to the correct server. Im able to pull in the server name and put in MDTServer variable but when I try

webservice=http://%MDTServer%.company.com/Deployment%20Webservice/ad.asmx/IsUserGroupMember
or
WebServiceURL=http://%MDTServer%.company.com/Deployment%20Webservice/ad.asmx/IsUserGroupMember

webservice=%WebServiceUR%

It does not work. Is there any way to pass the correct URL to the webservice?

Hello -- What versions of SCCM is this compatible with? Does it work with SCCM 2012 and SP1? What you put together certainly sounds useful!
