Release Notes

This release contains a compiled version of the Deployment Web service that has been updated to Version 7.3 on 30. August 2011.

If you are using a version prior Version 7.3 you should consider upgrading. The new version includes a lot of additional functions, some bugfixes and adds some advanced logging capabilities and security enhancements (Release History).

The Webservice covers four areas.

To install this webservice please follow the Installation Guide. Find more information in the Documentation. See Release History for recent changes.

If you want to upgrade from an existing version it's most often a simple Copy&Replace update. Just copy all the files from the download to your current web service installation. As the web.config file might change from version to version (Version 7.3 added some additional items to this file) you should compare them and implement the changes from the newer version. Or overwrite the existing one and just re-add your custom changes like Credentials etc. In any case be sure to have a backup ready before you upgrade.

If you experience any issues see the Webservice Troubleshooting section and don't hesistate to open an issue or start a discussion. We also appreciate any comment :-)

Some examples using this webservice:

This project is provided "AS IS" without any explicit or implicit warranty of any kind. The author is not liable for any damages the software might cause. Make sure to test all functions properly in a test environment before putting into production.

These services are some of the best tools out for interacting with AD and SCCM.

I think the Deployment Web Service is awesome. I had been looking for a way to get computer names from Active directory and this is it. Easy to setup and easy to use!
