The SCCM Task Sequence Monitor is a script, that monitors your SCCM Task Sequences for any changes and exports them to XML files when a change happened. It registers itself in WMI and by this will "survive" reboots and work no matter if somebody is logged on or not. It will work on SCCM 2007 and 2012.
This script covers three typical problems, if you are working with SCCM Task Sequences:
The exported XML files are prepared in a way that you can easily import them back again to SCCM. This way you have a real backup of every version of your Task Sequence throughout their complete lifecycle, even if they get deleted.
2. Versioning / History
You can figure out what has been changed by simply comparing the xml files of different Versions. See "this post (coming soon ;-) )" for more information.
3. Awareness ! ;-)
Checking the folder(s) or log file you will get aware of any change, no matter who changed it. No more surprises when coming back to the office.
